My Week According to Instagram

Since I'm pretty exhausted, I'm not going to write much and just let the pictures do the talking.  I spent a good portion of the weekend in my mum's attic sorting through stuff to keep or pitch.  Since I'm still not healed from my back injury, it was very painful.  But I did find some incredible gems in the process including a 1940s bathing suit that belonged to my grandmother along with a mink stole that belonged to my other grandmother.  I'll share the photos via Instagram later when I'm more energized.

1. Informing Instagram followers of this post.
2. A swell old print.
3. I spent my New Year's Eve with the Doctor.
4. A beautiful 1928 English ink well and stand.

5. Sharing this post on Instagram.
6. Letting Instagram followers know about this post.
7. Put the teaser for this post on Instagram.
8. The yummy Dominic Monaghan.

 9. Enjoying Legolas in Return of the King.
10-11. My modern outfit of the day earlier in the week.
12. My dream fridge in my local library.

My Week According to Instagram

So Christmastide is almost upon us!  I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude though my life is still in somewhat of a shamble.  It's been hard to stay upbeat, but my roller-coaster of emotions is back on a peak, instead of a plummet like earlier today.

There's a forecast of a dusting of snow for tomorrow which I'm excited about.  I hope there's a slight accumulation since we haven't had a white Christmas in awhile.  It's always been raining.  Unfortunately, they are also calling for freezing rain in my parts.  But I hope it heads way for the snow.

1. Dear Santa...
2. Letting Instagram followers know about this post.
3. Breakfast one morning.
4. My poor curls after a windy day.

5. Gorgeous shoes from eBay.
6. Stupid computer giving me problems.
7. Nostalgia kicking in.
8. That didn't take long.

9. Here's hoping for a white Christmas.
10-11. I couldn't resist a few jabs.
12. Vanilla orchid sachets.

13. Balsam Fir sachets added to the pile.
14. I had to post this again on the 22nd.
15. Baking chocolate chip cookies to take to my brother's house tomorrow.

As tradition dictates, I'll be spending the evening of Christmas Eve at my brother's house with his wife and my nephew.  It's always enjoyable to see him open and enjoy all of his gifts.  I'm making my famous Sloppy Joes and deviled eggs to take over, along with an assortment of homemade cookies.  After my brother's, I'll go back to my mum's where we will open one gift each and then watch a Christmas film.  And just in case you were wondering, yes I will be leaving milk and cookies out for Santa and carrots for the reindeer...

What are your plans and traditions on Christmas Eve?

Happy Christmas in advance!

My Week According to Instagram

Another week passing means another week closer to Autumn.  I always love the beginning of each season.  I get excited for the clothing opportunities it brings.  I can't wait to bring out my jumpers and stockings.  For this season I really want to invest in getting some knit stockings to help me through the cooler days ahead.  I'll also be excited to start wearing gloves, which I would love to broaden my collection.

 1. Randomly had a dream with Matt Smith in it
2. Then I dreamed of Emmet Cahill of Celtic Thunder
3. Bomb Girls series premiere was super!
4. My vintage table and chairs my mum gave me (they were her mum's)

5. A better view of one of the chairs
6. Smudger hanging out on my bed
7. Gingers can wear ginger
8. A poll to figure out what dress I should wear to Celtic Thunder

 9. The time is nigh!  Celtic Thunder is soon here
10. Berry much fun with today's outfit shoot
11. Not weeping with the willow
12. Midnight taking a cat nap at my mum's

Well, that was my week.  Albeit, a bit late due to helping mum clean out a closet in her house.  A project that we thought would take a few hours took about ten or so, and I'm still not done sorting through things.  Who knew I had so much stuff stored in my old room...  How was your week?

My Week According to Instagram

So another week has passed.  I must warn you, there was a theme for me this week.  And that theme was Doctor Who.  All week I was humming with excitement for the series premiere that aired last night.  Of course, I had to work.  But I had something to get me through the work day- thinking of the Doctor waiting for me at home.  I won't say anything about the episode, just in case some of you are fans and haven't seen it yet.  But it was most definitely worth the wait.

1. Last Sunday's outfit
2. A beautiful piece of rusty gold
3. This is the type of old pickup I'd love to have
4. Taking Smudger for a walk

5. A TARDIS watercolour that I made whilst painting with my nephew
6. Vincent Van Gogh's "The Pandorica Opens" from Doctor Who
7. Wednesday's outfit

9. 1950's frock.  Thinking of wearing it to Celtic Thunder
10. One of my favourite episodes: "The Doctor's Wife"
11. The Doctor listening to Muse
12. Mmm...two Doctors

14. My baby sleeping
15. A gorgeous TARDS graphic I found online
16. Doctor Who nails!  I really started getting in the mood

17. Sonic screwdriver and a Dalek
18. Bow tie, Don't Blink, sonic screwdriver, Dalek
19. I wear fezzes now, fezzes are cool
20. Doctor vs. Dalek showdown

21. I can't wait for the Weeping Angels to return
22. Epic X-Men vandalism
23. August's Blue Moon
24. I definitely geeked out when I went to the loo at the Museum of Science in Boston and saw this

25. This was right next to Bad Wolf.  Imagine my excitement...
26.  Getting excited for last night's episode
27. Lazy day in my TARDIS blue jeans

So this is another side of me that you get to see.  Those who are mates of mine or read my personal Facebook know that I have a geeky streak.  One of the things I geek out about is Doctor Who (as if you couldn't tell by now).  What sort of things do you geek out about?

My Week According to Instagram

So another week has passed by.  It was rather uneventful again for me.  Filled with work and working on outfit photos for the blog on my days off.  This was my weekend off so I got to take photos two days in a row.  It was nice, but it was pretty unproductive besides that.  I'm currently having a wee Doctor Who marathon whilst typing this, in preparation for the new series starting next Saturday.  Of course, I unfortunately work.  But work will be easier, knowing I have the Doctor to come home to.

1. Smudger is always so upset when I have to leave for work; he clings to my shoulder like a child.
2. Property Brothers mood- I had a dream with them in it the night before.
3. Again, Jonathan Scott was occupying my mind with his gorgeous, crooked smile.
4. Then it shifted to Keith Harkin after I bought my tickets to see Celtic Thunder.
5. & 6. Outfit photos from Wednesday.  At last wearing the 'it' colour now that the season is almost over.
7. Vintage dishes for my 1950s kitchen and Coca-Cola glasses.
8. Teaser photo from the new series of Doctor Who.  So excited!!!
9. Mmm...milk and cookies in my 'new' dishes.
10, 11, 12. Outfit photos from Saturday.  Two polka dot dresses in a row.
13. Thomas Howes from Downton Abbey.  Watched the whole first season whilst editing photos.
14, 15, 16. Outfit photos from Sunday (today).  I was afraid the rain was going to deter me.
17. Exterminate!  Dalek watercolour I made awhile ago.

How was your week?  Anything fun or interesting happen?  It's back to the Doctor for me...or rather carrying on with him ;)
