Girls Day Out

This day I went out for a much needed girls day.  I got to go out with my best friend who I hadn't seen in several months.  She lives 45 minutes away from me and we don't get to get together that often.  We went to an antique mall and then went to various little boutiques through town.  It was really fun and enjoyable.  Just what I needed.  I even came away with a pair of vintage navy gloves.

There were many amazing treasures at this one store called the Curiosity Shoppe.  They had all sorts of incredible items.  There was a gorgeous emerald green dress, beautiful shoes, hats, handbags, gloves...  I definitely must go back there when I have money to blow.

Outfit Details:
vintage skirt, vintage coat, vintage handbag, vintage cameo ring, cardigan, belt {thrifted}
shoes {nyc}
back seam cuban heel thigh high stockings {eBay}

I haven't had another opportunity since November to see her yet, but I hope we will be able to reunite again in the near future.  What sort of things do you like to do with your girl friends?  Do you go out or relax at home; both?

  1. Great outfit! I love the details - the seams tockings, the coin bracelet, the ruffled collar, and the coat. Perfection. I am super jealous of that outfit right now!

    1. Thank you so much! You are a sweetie! I really love this outfit too. It's so perfect for fall and it was feminine but I was still quite warm! Your outfits I see on Instagram are always so lovely.

  2. I adore your style so much! And oh my goodness, I WANT your stockings! Gorgeous, you are!

    That shop sounds so fun! There's this gorgeous emerald dress at my favorite antique store that I covet every time I go there, but it's not for sale. Makes me so sad!

    1. You are too kind! I love YOUR style! As I've told you, yours was the first blog I ever read and it's still my favourite. You have incredible style and I love how you make tshirts effortlessly chic. I wish we could go shopping together sometime.

      That shop was so great! I can't wait to go back in the future. They even had live birds there called Fred and Ginger! I love green and purple-they're my favourite colours. The green dress that I saw was for sale and even reasonably priced for a boutique shop like that. Maybe when I have some extra cashflow, I'll go back there and splurge somewhat.

      I know what you mean with items you covet that aren't for sale! There's a thrift shop that has a whole antique room. Up on the walls and displayed everywhere are all sorts of treasures. They have corsets, girdles, lingerie, and all sorts of creations that are really old but not for sale :( It breaks my heart.
