Empire State of Mind

Here are the rest of the photos from my trip to New York.  These are all the photos of the beautiful architecture and such.  You know, the ones that don't include me in them.

Central Park is gorgeous, even if it is touristy.  My favourite parts of it were the gorgeous old bridges.  They were restoring some of them whilst we were there.  It was neat to see that process.  But I also enjoy seeing them with some character and age to them.

There are some beautiful sights in the city.  There is literally something for everyone.  My only regret this visit was not being able to get a chocolate cupcake from Magnolia Bakery.  If you have never been there, it was definitely worth standing in the queue for a tasty treat.

What is your must stop sight in the city?

Want to see what photos didn't make it onto the blog?  Head over to Facebook for a gander.

  1. What a beautiful, beautiful place. I so want to go there someday!
For me, in Seattle my must-stop place is always Pike's Place Market; I love the open-air setting of the shops, plus there are tons of interesting and strange stores in the lower levels of the market. It's always really fun!
I hope your new year has been good so far! I kept trying to comment on your blog with my phone, but it wouldn't let me. Thank goodness for work internet!

    1. It really is a lovely, diverse place to visit. Pike's Place Market sounds really interesting. I'll have to visit it if I'm ever out that way. I have family that live in Marysville, Washington that said I could stay with them if I ever went out there.

My new year has been pretty uneventful. So far it's beginning just the way the last year ended, which in my case isn't the best thing right now. I usually read the blogs I follow on my iPad and for some reason it won't let me comment on yours either. I keep trying and it's so annoying. I'll just have to start reading them on my laptop or something because I have issues with other blogs as well. How was your new year though?

    2. Someday you should totally come stay with your family here so that we can meet up and go to my favorite antique stores.

I hate that the iPhone does that! I cannot wait until we get internet at our house, because I miss commenting on blogs! I feel like such a stalker not leaving a comment.
My new year has been good so far, aside from not having internet and being sick. :) I've started to get back into REALLY trying with fashion, rather than just throwing on something easy, and it's been so fun! I forgot how much fashion can affect my attitude.

    3. Sorry I'm so delayed in replying! That would be awesome if I could work that out. I've never even been to Washington so that would be fun in and of itself. I think I would have to do the fangirl thing and go to Forks and La Push.

I know what you mean about just throwing on easy stuff. I've been doing that a lot lately. But it does do something to your attitude when you make an effort and put something pretty on.
